Tirupur: On the occasion of late Congress leader Kamarajar's birth day anniversary G.K. Vasan, President of Tamil Maanila Congress, flayed the Indian National Congress for its abysmal performance in the recent polls.

Vasan said that the Congress won only 53 seats even after 134 years of it existence and lost the eligibility to be the main opposition party too.

G.K. Vasan, who addressed Kamarajar's birthday meeting organised at Townhall, Tirupur said that his party is the real Congress party now and it will strive to bring back Kamarajar's regime in Tamilnadu.

In the event conducted on behalf of the Tamil Maanila Congress Party, G.K. Vasan distributed welfare assistance to the Government and differently-abled schools.

While speaking on occasion Vasan said, "We are congress now, We can bring the Kamarajar regime back. The Congress party with 134 years of experience has managed to get only 53 seats and lost credibility among the people".

Criticizing the sons and daughters of former leaders who were aspiring to become PM and then gone missing he noted "Moreover, the DMK-Congress false propaganda has been defeated at the all India level. People of Tamilnadu have understood their false propaganda. And so, AIADMK and its allies will only win in the Vellore Constituency."

Noting that the DMK-Congress coalition in Tamil Nadu has been a failure, even after winning the elections he said that Tamil Maanila Congress party will support the State and Central Government and will not do anything that affects the welfare of the farmers. Vasan assured that his party would be a bridge to help people get all the Governments welfare measures.

TMC state executive committee members and thousands of cadres attended the celebrations.
